school workshops and fieldtrips

Opening its doors eight months ago, uBe Art was founded with a vision of being more than an exhibition space, but a community-focused creative destination.

In keeping with this vision, uBe Art gallery owner Winn Taylor brings her shadowbox workshop to Bay Area schools–collaborating with teachers in weaving art and storytelling to dovetail with their current curriculum.

Friday, February 12th  uBe Art welcomed the 6th graders of Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley!

The field trip was a collaborative effort designed by Winn Taylor, artist and gallery owner the G6 English, Gabreille Hedlund and Jennifer Hammond, and G6 Art teacher Susan Campbell.
