Creatures-real and imagined, featuring the work of 26 artists, delivers the spectrum of ways in which creatures are conjured, immortalized and depicted, and delivered in a warm, welcoming environment that thaws the cold, awkwardness typically associated with traditional galleries.
Ignoring the thinning number of Bay Area art galleries and what it might mean, uBe Art—a new Berkeley gallery still gaining its momentum—continues to deliver events and exhibitions like the upcoming February juried show, Creatures—real and imagined, with the promise you'll feel at home and come back for more.
uBe Art promises a jolt to your imagination by the bizarre and beautiful creatures brought to life in the upcoming February exhibition, as well as revived appreciation for art as agent connecting us all on a core level.
Creatures--real and imagined explores the ways in which animals and creatures, both real and imagined have been a presence in the visual arts as metaphors, objects of fantasy and fear, sources of emotional attachment and connection to the physical and non-physical realms.
The 26 featured artists hail from cities around the US, delivering a diverse show full of whimsy, fantasy and beauty. Covering a wide spectrum of medium, each piece delivers a tale unique to its creator.
Join uBe Art Friday, February 5 from 6-10PM for art, libations and music for an Opening Reception you won't want to miss in a space that beckons you to come in and stay awhile.
Exhibition Dates: February 4 - March 27
PR Release: Creatures-real and imagined
